Acupuncture

Improving circulation and communication, acupuncture cues your body’s innate healing intelligence.

At What’s Good, our practitioners have decades of experience in the effective use of acupuncture to help patients achieve optimal health and wellness. As one of the oldest and safest healing systems in the world, acupuncture originated in China nearly 3,000 years ago and is still commonly used today.

Why Use Acupuncture?

Acupuncture is a time-tested, holistic medicine that can be used to reduce pain, restore function and increase vitality. While acupuncture is most often sought out to help people get out of pain, it is also helpful for internal medicine conditions like anxiety, digestive issues, fertility, thyroid dysfunction, allergies and much more. Science is only just beginning to grasp the powerful medicine that is acupuncture and understand its underlying mechanism.

To determine if you are a candidate for acupuncture, an initial consultation with a Practitioner is necessary. If deemed suitable, you can receive your first treatment on the same day, initiating the path towards pain relief and improved function well-being.

Customized Care Plan

The duration of your care plan will be customized to your specific condition and individual circumstances. Factors such as the nature of your condition and its duration will be taken into account to determine the optimal number of treatments required for your journey towards relief and improved well-being.

Thorough Assessment

After your initial consultation, your Practitioner will give you an estimate of the number of treatments likely needed based on clinically evidence-based data.

The Treatment Process

The treatment typically involves multiple sessions per week, ranging from 2 to 5, until the desired level of improvement is achieved. Once maximum improvement is seen, a maintenance plan is often recommended to prevent symptom recurrence. This maintenance phase may require as little as 1 to 2 sessions per month, ensuring long-term wellness.

Symptom Relief

Acupuncture offers remarkable symptom relief, even for severe and chronic conditions. It effectively targets inflammation, improves circulation and function, addressing the root causes of discomfort and symptoms. Many individuals report a complete absence of symptoms after undergoing this treatment.

Common Questions About Acupuncture

Am I a Candidate for Acupuncture?

The medical literature shows acupuncture’s effect on nearly every system in the body. So, for most people, yes, acupuncture is something that can help.

How Does Acupuncture Work?

Acupuncture works by increasing blood flow circulation, improving communication between the body’s systems, reducing inflammation, calming the nervous system, pulling the body out of fight-or-flight and into rest-and-digest instead. This allows accelerated healing and regeneration to occur.

Does Acupuncture Hurt?

No. It’s a gentle, comfortable treatment. Most of our patients end up taking a nap during their treatment and leave the clinic feeling refreshed, relaxed, and energized.

Is Acupuncture Covered by Insurance?

We do not directly process billing for third-party or private insurance. However, we can provide you with a comprehensive invoice that you can submit to your insurance provider for potential reimbursement. The advantage is that you retain control over the procedures you choose, rather than relying on the decisions of an insurance company.

But First, a Consultation

Your Practitioner will meet with you to discuss your health goals and needs to determine if you are a candidate for Acupuncture.  Then, if you are a good candidate, your practitioner will formulate a care plan tailored specifically for your individual needs.  The majority of the time, our care plans draw from all of our services to create the most comprehensive care to get you the results you’re looking for as quickly as possible.
