Katrina Dollano is a Chinese Medicine Practitioner, Acupuncturist, Herbalist, Functional Medicine Practitioner and expert in health and healing.  She is the Co-Founder and Clinical Director at What’s Good, where her passion lies in helping you to bring more happiness and health to your life and to optimize your body’s strength, vitality and capacity to heal.  Your body was designed for perfect health and healing, occasionally it just needs some support.

Katrina’s approach to health care is grounded in fusing the ancient wisdom of Chinese medicine with advances in modern-day science.  To achieve this, Katrina uses acupuncture, herbal medicine, integrative medicine, and individualized lifestyle recommendations as her tools.  A self-professed forever-nerd-a-heart, she has spent nearly 20 years immersed in study, growth and clinical practice.

Katrina is a graduate of the Toronto School of Traditional Chinese Medicine and has spent hundreds of hours in continuing education, curated to access knowledge and skills that were not taught during her formal postgraduate education.  Specifically, her additional training focuses on treating chronic, degenerative and complex conditions.

To date, Katrina has administered over 70,000 acupuncture treatments.

In addition to clinical practice, Katrina is the Vice-President of Traditional Chinese Medicine Ontario, a professional organization that supports Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists in Ontario.  The TCMO’s mandate is to move the profession of Chinese medicine forward to serve practitioners and educate the public on the benefits of Chinese medicine and acupuncture for primary health care.

Katrina sits on Humber College’s Traditional Chinese Medicine Program Advisory Committee.  The TCM PAC ensures that Humber’s Traditional Chinese Medicine program remains current and relevant to the marketplace needs.

Katrina is a Chinese Medicine Doctoral Thesis advisor for the Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine College in Berkeley, California where she mentors doctoral students throughout their thesis development.  The doctoral degree at AIMC is a research degree, in which students are required to complete a thesis that makes an original scholarly contribution to the literature of integrative medicine.

When not in the clinic, Katrina can be found with her partner in business and life, her husband Charleston, chasing after their two highly energetic and rambunctious children, Ronin and Salvadora Grace.

It is Katrina’s greatest honour and privilege to support her patients and share her passion for healing with excitement, spunk and a commitment to help people recognize their intrinsic beauty and value.

We’re all worthy and we all have the capacity to change the course of our lives and our health.  Sometimes all we need is a gentle reminder and the appropriate support to embrace our true selves.
