Hello Hello!

Welcome to What’s Good Wellness. Let me begin by saying I am super excited and honoured to be part of the What’s Good team so I can join you on your wellness journey.

The most important thing you should know about me is that I am a Reptile Enthusiast and I have been a Mother of Dragons. Sadly, no one calls me Khaleesi. When you ask me if I have any children my answer will be “I have several four legged scaly babies”.

For those Game of Thrones fans out there the Braavosi greeting in Old Valyrian “Valar Dohaeris” resonates with me, for the non-G.O.T fans, this means “All Men Must Serve”.
That brings me to the next important fact about me: I believe in being of service and I absolutely love my work.

I’ve been in healthcare for over 20years, but even before beginning my career I wanted to help. During my childhood I often tried to save (ok I still do) worms from being squashed on the sidewalks after a heavy rain, one time I cradled an injured bird in my hands as it died. As a teenager I volunteered at the hospital and for the Red Cross. During university, while studying Classical Greek declensions and comparing the Romantic Poets, I realized I wanted to be in healthcare so I could help people.

Fast forward 12 years into my career when I was introduced to Traditional Chinese Medicine while on my own wellness journey. This is when my fascination with, and love of TCM began. As my body and spirit began to heal I knew I wanted to facilitate others’ healing this way too.

I first came to What’s Good Wellness as a patient to see Katrina where she wowed me into wanting to work here! So that’s why I am so happy to join the What’s Good team. I look forward to accompanying you on your own wellness journey and hope to meet you soon.

“Katrina was a fantastic resource during my pregnancy and was so skilled at providing acupressure treatment for me. She even taught my husband pressure points to ease discomfort during labour. Everyone at the clinic is so friendly and it’s a very warm and welcoming environment. And the food is delicious! Charleston is a phenomenal chef and so personable. What’s Good is just what Oakville needs!“
