What's Good Wellness SpringRetreat
Face it You’re Beautiful: The Art, Science & Alchemy of Honouring Your Divine Feminine
CREATING HARMONY TOGETHER
The Spring season is all about growth, transformation, empowerment, returning from hibernation and following your souls ignited pathway. It is about cultivating creativity, visions and aspirations and allowing them to organically come into fruition.
As we begin to surface, following the deep rooted work performed during the winter months, we innately have this desire to break free, stretch & cleanse the body, mind and spirit of the old to welcome in the new. We see this through “spring cleaning”, opening the windows to remove stagnant air, purging whatever we no longer need etc. We not only acknowledge this as humans, but we see it in nature as well through plants budding, animals reconvening, and the sun shining brighter.
In Chinese medicine, each element is associated with a spirit. The Wood element (Spring season), is correlated with the Hun spirit which is considered our internal guide, pointing us in the right direction towards our visions, aspirations, dreams and our souls desire for this lifetime.
The 2022 ‘Face It You’re Beautiful: The Art, Science and Alchemy of Honouring Your Divine Feminine’ retreat will focus on embracing this notion of welcoming in the new, taking steps towards your souls desires, visions & aspirations for this lifetime. Together we will expand our energy and heighten our vibration through vision planning, nourishing the soul, caring for the self, connecting to nature, fuelling the body and nurturing our spirit.

As in nature the Wood energy is part of the energy of our body – the acupuncture meridians of the Liver and Gall Bladder. Given that each meridian has a job in the body s kingdom, the Gall Bladder meridian is “The Upright Official who Excels in Judgment” and the Liver is “The Official in Charge of Planning”.
Each of your meals have been designed to harness the energy of the Spring season. The wood element likes fermented foods such as kimchi and yogurt and light meals followed with lots of greens (the colour of the wood element). Bitter greens (dandelion, nettles, and arugula) are particularly cleansing for the liver and gallbladder which promote better digestion support women’s health and aids in homeostasis of the body.

Flower Essence: Spiritual & Mental Homeostasis
With Katrina Dollano
Flower essences are vibrational plant medicines that bring us into alignment with our best possible self in any given circumstance. They are a tool for increasing our self-awareness, and bring into our attention subconscious limiting beliefs, emotional complexes, and distorted perceptions that are blocking our success.
They are based upon traditional wisdom and philosophy that humans, the cosmos and all of nature constitute a unified whole, and that the natural world has much to teach humanity.
Another way to understand how flower essences work is through the relationship between the conscious and subconscious mind. They bring conscious awareness to subconscious habits, emotions and beliefs that are blocking us from success. With an integrated consciousness, we can re-program automated responses to our emotional triggers, and we can embody new truths to replace our limiting beliefs. And as we do so, change starts happening around us.
Together we will commence the retreat with an opening flower essence ceremony, where we will set the intention for the weekend and create a flower essence that aligns with that collective intention.

Camp Out Under the stars
Special Notice
Wish to camp under the stars and be in touch with nature? Email us at info@whatsgoodwellness.ca
Camping out doors is a great alternative as it will allow you and or with your loved one to connect with mother earth in an experience called, “Earthing”. The term, Earthing (also known as grounding) is when we allow our body to make contact with the Earth’s surface electrons via activities such as walking barefoot outside, sitting on the grass, and tree hugging. Such activities allow our bodies to become connected to mother earths conductive systems. Doing so allows one to connect with all of mother earths surfaces allowing for the transfer of energy from the ground straight into our bodies, hence bringing forth a great and unique healing expereince for everyone to explore.

The Spring season is the beginning of the season cycle, a time of birth and new beginnings. It is also the energy of the element Wood. This is the energy that brings forth new growth, that pushes the new grass through the snow, the new branches out from old wood, produces new leaves. It does this so nature can take in the nourishment it needs to flourish.
Spring is also the time of hope; this season bursts forward with optimism, offering change after the quiet, still time of Winter.
Each seed and sapling is following its own part of nature’s plan. Think of the wood of a tree, it gives nature structure and shape but does not let anything hold it back as it drives forward.
Without this type of change all things would wither and die.
